It has been under discussion for the last five years as far as I can
remember and yes a big part of that discussion has always been how to
minimise the chances of the addresses being harvested for use by s******s.
Until we can get ourselves a volunteer to take over as Webmaster I think the
website will continue to be maintained by our chairman and while he does an
excellent job we really do need someone to take over from him, preferably
someone who will have the time to work out how to put the members interests
onto the website in a way that is secure. More than this I can't tell you.

Subject: [Mon] Gwent FHS members' interests on the web
I don't know whether this has been discussed already while I have
been off
the list, if so please bear with me.
I see in the latest journal (78) that Gwent FHS proposes to put members'
email
addresses with their interests on their web site.
Will there be any safeguard to prevent these being picked up by spammers'
webcrawlers?
