Hi Liz,
In 1891 they were still in Beaufort, at 28 Beaufort Rise
RG12/Pc4575 folio 108 page 3 - see attachment
Jacob Amos Head 40 Butcher born Beaufort, BreconShire
Susan " Wife 31 "
Laura Amos Dtr 11 Scholar "
Arthur Amos Son 8 Scholar "
Lily " Dtr 4 "
Mabel " Dtr 2 "
Ruth Morgan Visitor 57 Living on own means b. Paulon Somerset
Gwendoline Morgan, S, Servant, 16 b. Blaina, Mon
I did a search for Stephen, and the only one that came up, born 1877 Tredegar, was the
son of John and Rachel Amos, with siblings George and Edmund, living in Tredegar. However
the father, John, was born Llangattock, so could be Jacob's brother, as Beaufort is
shown to be in Llangattock civil parish.
