Hello Pauline. To get further back you could try the Pedigree books
that are in Print for Monmouthshire.I know there is one copy in Cardiff Central
Library.This is a large A2 size book.I think it is by REANEY?["Reaney's
Monmouthshire Pedigree's", I think it's called?]
I should think that Newport Library, Would have a copy?
You could also try the earlier "WILL's"on some of the other Branches you
must have.
Do what I do.When stuck on one line,Try another.
Ive done many lines like my Father's-mother's-to the power of 7.[all through the
Female lines]So you get a different Surname to trace.
Far better than being stuck against a brick wall,In trying to fathom out a surname like
"WILLIAMS!".
Cheers and best of luck in the hunt.
Graham.
