Be careful not to get confused here.
What you have found on the map is a *farm* called Clawr-y-plwyf (actually at
318366,194345). This is not the same as the hamlet of Clawrplwyf, although
the farm may well be located within the hamlet.
'Clawrplwyf' Farm was farmed in 1881 by William Davies and his wife Rachel.
Only seven people were living there, whereas the hamlet had a population of
well over 2,000.
