Hello Hugh & list,

when did her mother die?
Here's all the info. I have.
Hannah MORGANS was born April 1856 at The Square, Rhymney, Reg.Dist Abergavenny,
sub.dist. Tredegar., according to her Birth Certificate
Father John Walter MORGANS, Iron Baller
Mother Elizabeth, nee EVANS
Hannah married John Thomas in Dec.1875, at Sharon Chapel, Tredegar, (should this have
been Saron?) & they were in U.S. in 1880 Census, with a boarder named William D.Evans
aged 47, (possibly mother's brother or's this a red herring?)
I haven't yet found John & Elizabeth's marriage & don't have their
dates of birth or deaths.
I know he was an Iron Baller in 1856 & 1875 according to the certificates I have,
& went to Hughesovska to work for a few years, according to family info.
I don't know if there were siblings.
All I have is Hannah's birth, marriage & subsequent descendents.
Her children's names were:-
Esther THOMAS, born Wales 1876(age 3 in1880 Census)
poss. Pontypridd Reg. District
John Walter " born Wales 1878(age 1 in 1880 Census)
I found a birth in Pontypridd District tying in with
this. Would Trealaw be in that Reg. Dist?
Hannah's remaining children were all born in U.S.:-
Elizabeth, Thomas, Lewis, William, Mesech (after his father's brother who lived
in Cross St. Bedwellty), Charlotte & Mary.
I've named these as sometimes children's names are family ones.
Sorry not to have been more help.
Many thanks
