Dear Listers,
I?m hoping Ray Lawrence is still a list member. I?m having some problems
understanding the amounts in the relief fund.
For my husband?s ancestor Deborah Newbery/Newbury it is down as 75.5p.Is
that in old or new money?
Also as John was a member of a lodge would they also provide assistance or
not?
Best wishes,
Mary

Morning all..this is David Tooley in San Diego Cal..it is the last day of
December and 2014, rain and chilly.
Going thru my emails, saw the word ABERCARN which pulled me up....Thanks
for posting Mary....to you and anyone else who is from Monmouthshire and or
Glamorgan
My Grandmother, Martha Ann JONES' family was from Abercarn...Her father and
his twin brother were both "underground hewers"....they were born in 1849
and according to my Mum[deceased] died within weeks of one and other in
Abercarn....I do not believe either of them were killed "in the
mines".....I'm
looking for any information regarding this part of the family, as I am up
against a "brick wall" to go any earlier than these men.....any suggestions
of places to contact? I have the
Ancestry.com World plan, so have been
looking diligently in all the databases with spotty luck....thanks Seasons
Best Wishes Dave _Djsj21643(a)aol.com_ (mailto:Djsj21643@aol.com) if you
would like...
