Jon, and others, that is my feeling too: the dates I have already given mean
that you can freely search the archives in Newport Reference Library too ,
where I have been today. The initial report of the death is in the South
Wales Argus, and the inquest a couple of days later made the front page of the
Argus. I am also concerned to protect the identity of an elderly man and
woman, whose widowed mother married the dead lady's husband (and lived in this
house for many years) and their respective children and grandchildren who might
not wish to be associated with what, after all, was a very suspicious death.
You can hardly climb out of a window if you are in a post-epileptic coma -
in fact a local friend, a nurse who is aware of the story as many people in my
village are, two whom I have just shown the photocopies of the Argus, say
that it would be impossible. Suicide it was NOT.
Sorry to appear to be obstructive....I think it will be difficult, if not
impossible, to get to the truth of the story, which I find fascinating. Now, I
don't want to appear to be some sort of "crank" - but things go on in my
house which are known only to us and to a previous family who lived here, which
might suggest "unfinished business" or "restlessness" .... if you
know what
I mean. Just trying to put some people at rest, if I can.

Hugh,
I think under the circumstances that maybe naming names would be somewhat
insensitive, and dates had already been mentioned.
cheers,
Jon
