Whilst we are on the subject of railways, my grandfather, Abraham Williams, born Sept 22nd
1872, Pontnewynydd, lost both of his legs in about 1888. I don't know where he was
working at the time but apparently in 1914 he was a timekeeper/labourer/clerk and appeared
in the 1901 census in Aberdare. If anyone has any details on Abe I would be most
appreciative. (As a youngster living in Raglan during the war years, I had to deliver
