Hotel, Maindee, Newport, was buried in Newport Cemetery on Tuesday, Rev. Stephen

Mr Herbert JAMES, 52, Brunswick-street, Canton, Cardiff, for more than 40
years law librarian to the Cardiff and District Law Society, was buried in
Cardiff Cemetery. principal mourners were Messrs. Bert JAMES, Arthur JAMES, Archie
JAMES,(Sons), Albert NORTH, Frank SHIMWELL, (Sons-in-law), and G. CUMMINS,
(Brother-in-law).
Mr Robert SCALE, 4, Kimberly-road, Penylan, Cardiff. Solicitor for many years
in Maesteg and for more than 33 years clerk to the Maesteg District Council
was buried Tuesday in Cardiff Cemetery. Rev. E.M. ROSSER,(Vicar of Eglwys Dewi
Sant Cardiff) officiated. Principal mourners, Messrs Arthur George SCALE,
Duffryn, Pontypridd, Howell SCALE, George SCALE, Pontardawe, (Nephews).
Lewis FORD, a collier, of Edward-street, Pengam, was fined £5 by Llanhilleth
Magistrates on Tuesday for driving without reseasonable consideration.
Mr Matthew TRURAN, of Courtland-terrace, Merthyr, for many years manager of
theCwm Pit, Cyfarthfa, was buried at Cefn Coed Cemetery. Canon J.
RICHARDS-PUGH,(Rector of Merthyr) and Rev E. Illtyd JONES,(Rector of Dowlais), officiated.
