Church Farm Llangovan,(Mon). With house, farm buildings, and 121 acres of
land, was sold to Mr R.B. BURRIDGE, of Shire Newton, for £2.500.
September 16th the Wedding took place at Gnoll-road Congregational Church, of
Mr Gwilym REES, Firdens, Three Crosses, manager of Baldwins' Works Kings
Dock, Swansea, and Miss Joan TENCH, daughter of Mr&Mrs Ernest TENCH, Rugby-avenue,
Neath. Miss Jean PERROT, cousin of the bride was bridesmaid, and Mr A. Willis
PILE, of Swansea was best man. (Rev. T. MARDY), officiated.
Mr Graham Charles CARVER, eldest son of Mr&Mrs G.H. CARVER, of Mayhill,
Swansea, was married at Hope Chapel, Bridgend, to Miss Cassie THOMAS, daughter of
Mr&Mrs David THOMAS Lias-street, Bridgend. Rev. W.H. JONES, officiated assisted
by Rev. T.A. CARVER, (Brother of Groom), who also acted as best man. The
bridesmaid was Miss Gwen CARVER, Flower girl Elizabeth Rees WILLIAMS, of
Cowbridge.
Miss Doris Lilian BROWN, daughter of Captain and Mrs T. S. BOWEN, of Roath,
Cardiff, was married at St. Margaret's Roath, to Mr Harold Stuart BEETESON, son
of Mrs S. BEETESON, of Stockton Brook, Stoke-on-Trent and the late Mr
BEETESON. Bride was given away by her godfather Mr A. NICHOLLS. Miss Violet
BROWN,(Sister), and Miss Elsie THOMAS,(Cousin) were bridesmaids and Mr A. JOY, of
Stockton Brook was best man.
