Yes. The fathers name was usually entered whether he was dead or not ,
sometimes it would indicate by saying deceased but I have seen cases where
the father was already deaceased but this wasn't mentioned . My great
grandmother put Thomas Davies as her father in 1868 but he died in 1864
deceased want mentioned.
