Mrs Elvira BAILEY, (55), wife of Mr Frederick BAILEY, of Llewellyn-st,
Pentre, Rhondda, has died at Llynypia Hospital of injuries she received when she
fell down a flight of stairs to the basement at her home last Saturday night.
Mr Sidney WEAVER, postmaster at New Tredegar and Tirpil, has retired after
26 years service,- a native of Kingswood, Bristol, he his succeeded by his son
Mr Edgar Wilfred WEAVER.
Verdict of "Suicide, whilst not of sound mind", was recorded on Mrs Myrtle
SMITH, (31), wife of Harold SMITH, hairdresser, who died in Pontypool Hospital
from Lysol Poisoning. she had been very distressed at losing their youngest
child.
Mrs Elizabeth WILLIAMS, widow of Mr Isaac WILLIAMS, wholesale tobacconist of
133, Neath-road, Briton Ferry, was buried on Tuesday at Ynysmaerdy Cemetery,
Briton Ferry.

Verdict of "Suicide by hanging whilst not of sound mind", was recorded at an
inquest held at Llanhilleth on Tuesday by Dr. T. J. TREHARNE, coroner on
Zacariah SOUTHALL, aged 75, of Railway-street, Llanilleth.
Diamond Wedding.
Mr&Mrs Albert J. HASELL, of 20, Oban-street, Cadoxton, Barry, will
celebrate their Diamond Wedding today, they had fourteen, nine of whom are still
living, seven of their sons served in the Great War, one Private Fred HASELL
being killed at the landing at "C" Beach, Suvla Bay, Gallipoli, there are more
than fifty grandchildren and nineteen great-grand-children.
