Rugby League Agents, signed up T. RYAN, a centre/wing who played last season
for Newport Hibernians, he signed for Wakefield Trinity.
Ernest William BROWN, (21), of Church-road, Cadoxton, Barry, fell from a
ledge whilst fishing, when he over-balanced, and was drowned in a pond at
Coldbrook, near his home.
P C. PROSSER and P C. W. BAKER, recovered his body some hours later.
Edwin DRAGE, (32), of Rose-terrace, Pontnewynydd, was reported missing after
going to bathe at Whitmore Bay, Barry Island. DRAGE was on holiday with his
wife and four children. a search party was set up by Councillor J. T. MASLIN
and P.C. W. HARRIS.

Mr&Mrs A. E. STARK, of Holton-rd, Barry, celebrate their Golden Wedding
today.
They were married at the Congregational Chapel, Shepton Mallet. There are
four children namely, Mr W. E. STARK,(Barry), Mrs F. M. THOMAS,(Cardiff), Mrs
L. BUCKLAND, (Barry), and Mr H. W. STARK,(Newport).
