Dear Angela,
Most of my Williams family were staunch Catholics, so I am deeply involved
in researching Catholics in Mon. I tried yesterday to refer you to the
website of the Archdiocese of Cardiff, which now covers Mon., but it seems
to be down for the time being. However, I have a cousin in Brynmawr, who is
an active Catholic and will be able to answer some of your questions for me.
I'll be in touch, once I have spoken to her.
If you have any other questions, I would be pleased to try to answer them.
Peter Williams

Subject: [MON] Church in Bedwellty
Hello listers, I recently acquired the marriage certificate of my
g-g-g-
grandparents. They were married on April 1, 1882 and the certificate
identifies the church as "the Roman Catholic Church, Rhymney, District of
Bedwellty, County of Monmouth." The Priest was Revd. Augustine Fritz.
Does anyone know the name of this Church? Does the building still exist?
Anyone have pictures/stories to share about this Church? Information
about
Augustine Fritz?
Any info is greatly appreciated!
