I don't know the specific answer to your question, but having worked in a
great many hospitals my guess would be almost certainly 'Yes'. Even as long
ago as 1910 a date of birth was part of the demographic data which allowed
identification of an individual, long before more modern inventions such as
the NHS number came along. The fact that it was (what would now be known as)
a psychiatric hospital shouldn't have made any difference.

Twelve months or more ago I was, briefly, reunited with an old workmate from
my railway days. He went on to make a career at the above Hospital. If he
reads this, can he remember if inmates ,on admission to the above ,had their
DoB recorded? This was before his time ,admittedly,being around 1910
