If they died in Newport then it is quite likely they were buried at the local authority
cemetery at St Woolos, Bassaleg Rd Newport.

Charles (who appears to have been known as Thomas throughout his life)
died on 03 Dec 1937. His wife Elizabeth (nee MEYRICK) has pre-deceased
him in Q2 1919.
They had married in Newport R.D. in Q1 1895, and from at least the 1901
census date until Charles Thomas died, they lived at 56 Redland St.,
Newport. They didn't have any children.
I've traced Thomas Charles back through the available online information
to his birth to Thomas SELMAN and Miriam EDWARDS on 09 Mar 1868 in
Whitchurch GLA (but can't find him in the 1881 and 1891 census when he
should have been in Tondu and Newport).
I'd appreciate any further information on their lives, and where they
would be buried.
P.S. Given the current low levels of activity on the list, I'm treating
this post as the equivalent of a message in a bottle - it may bob around
in the Rootsweb archives for years until someone (with the answer) finds
it.

Hi Nick
Your message in a bottle has arrived at Swansea Bay :-) I think alot of
people on the list are busy with DNA info coming through.
Don't know whether you have discounted this one - might have been
transcribed incorrectly.
They are lodging at 78 Elm Street, Roath, Cardiff in 1881.

May or may not be the one your looking for.
Happy hunting,
