Hi Mary
In 1866 the parish church was St Illtyd's. There is quite a lot of information on the
internet if you do a search. The church still stands today but it is not in use, although
sometimes open for visits. There is a website "Friends of St Illtyd's"
www.illtyd.abelalways.co.uk which you might like.
Best wishes
Jane Dyer
(former resident of Llanhilleth)

Hi Jane,
Sure. Taliesen and Jane Williams Bevan were married on December 22, 1866. I get very
confused on what is where in Wales. Thanks. Mary

I have received some welcome and very good information from people on
this list. But I have a question on the marriage of my g
grandfather. The marriage was solemnized at the Parish Church in the Parish of
Llanhileth in the County of Monmouth. They were married by James
Hughes, Rector. I found out that he was a well know minister. Is
this
the actual name of the church? I would like to find a picture of
it. Thanks, Mary
