Mourners named at the funeral of Mrs. Laura Frances JENNER, of Wenvoe Castle, near Barry.
She was interred in Wenvoe Parish Churchyard, the grave occupied the space between the
graves of her late husband (Capt. R. F. L. JENNER, formerly high-sheriff of Glamorgan) and
her sister-in-law (Mrs. Gertude JENNER). (The coffin was made by workmen on the estate.)

Mr. John White HOLDEN, of 90, Taff-embankment, Cardiff, has just retired from the post of
health inspector under the Cardiff City Corporation after thirty-three-and-half-years'
service, and has been the recipient of a presentation from his old colleagues. Dr. Ralph
PICKEN, medical officer for health, presided over the farewell, among the gathering
Inspector FISHER, Mr. T. W. WARREN, Mr. McGREGOR, and Inspector STRANGE. Mr. HOLDEN was
handed a wallet of Treasury notes.
Mr. HOLDEN is a "St. Peter's Boy"- a native of Carmarthen- but he has been
in Cardiff for about forty years. He is known as "The Sporting Inspector" by
reason of his passion for fishing, shooting, and similar country pastimes. He has two sons
and five daughters.
