Thank you Dawn & Jeff for your replies. Dawn was correct that I had
made a typing error: Edward was aged 5, not 15 in 1881.
I am researching for another family member- so do not have the birth
certificates for the siblings of Edward, which, as you say, might
offer further information. Like you, I have also browsed the marriage
records for each quarter on Ancestry, without finding the marriage
between John MORGAN & Agnes/Margaret RICHARDSON. RICHARDSON seems to
be quite an unusual name in Wales, unlike RICHARDS. I did wonder
whether the marriage could have been registered under the name
RICHARDS, but of course it is impossible to be sure which Margaret RICHARDS,
Thank you Jeff for pointing out the marriage between John MORGAN &
Agnes THOMAS in Pontypridd Q4 1874. This might certainly be
researching further, but I am handing the information over to my "cousin" now.
Another query for the list. I tried browsing individual pages from
1841 census for Rumney & Gelligaer on Ancestry, as I do sometimes for
my English counties. Only the descriptions of the enum districts seem
to be available for those records. Is this usual for the Welsh
censuses? Is there any other site I can see the individual pages:
looking for 1841 Gelligaer & Rumney at the mo, but could want to see
other parishes & other years in the future
