Hello June,
I located him on the 1851 Census and the place of birth seems to have been
transcribed incorrectly. I looked at it and to me the place name is
Lanmartin which should have been spelt LLanmartin.
If this is the correct Thomas Saunders because there are others with same
name, he was a servant and this Census is of no assistance to you because
there are no family listed to show you parents names or siblings.
The first Census of 1841 I have searched the only one I located again had
no family with him.
With his birth before 1837 there is no birth record with the General
Registrars Office the only way to locate a possible birth would be to search
Parish Records.

Thank you so much for your help. Others have come to the same conclusion.
What a wonderful help you have been. I will follow up on your suggestions.
