Hello Jenny
What you are looking for is the Gale collection. It is free to those who live in Wales and
have a readers ticket with the National Library of Wales. You can search the 19th
century.

19th Century British Library Newspapers contains full runs of influential national and
regional newspapers representing different political and cultural segments of the 19th
century British society.
I'm sure you can upgrade to other newspapers. Or you could go for a free trial.

I am an avid follower of your postings of bits from the Western Mail. Both my parents
came from the Pontypridd and St Woollos area, with both living in Cardiff after their
marriage. Somewhere coming up will be the Diamond Wedding of my great grandparents, the
marriage of my mother and father in Llandaff Cathedral and possibly some mention of my
father who was prosecuting solicitor for Cardiff in the 1930's.
But to get to the point, are the past copies of the Western Mail on line and searchable
either by subject or name, there are several I would like to follow up.
Many thanks for the fantastic postings.
