W. J. DELAHAY, the captain of the Cardiff club, denies that he has received an offer from
a Rugby League club.
£300 to turn "Pro"
Rugby League representatives were in South Wales on Tuesday in search of a good forward,
and T. LEWIS, a Cardiff player, was offered terms.
LEWIS, who received an international cap last year was tempted with a bait of £300. He has
several times refused offers to join the professional ranks.
Johnnie CHISLETT, who once had the distinction of winning the feather-weight belt at The
Ring, Blackfriars, London, five times in one season, is about to return to the ring after
a two years' absence.
During his enforced retirement-due to a kidney punch-he has been working as a milk
roundsman and has been acting during his spare time as coach to members of the United
Dairies' Boxing Club.
CHISLETT has begun his training for a fight early next month at the Lancaster-road Baths
with Harry PULLEN, of Blackfriars, whom he has met and beaten on a previous occaision. He
has other engagements in view and has his eye on the feather-weight championship.
CHISLETT is 25 years of age, and hails from Treorky.
Frank MOODY, the Pontypridd boxer, refereed a number of contests at the Llanbradach
Workmen's-hall on Tuesday. In a six-rounds bout between Rocky SMITH (Abertridwr) and
Fred RICHARDS (Llanbradach) the verdict was a draw.
A similar decision was given in a ten-rounds contest between Tommy REARDON (Mountain Ash)
and Sammy LEWIS (Ynysybwl). Stanley GRAINGER (Llanbradach) and Frank MALLICK (Abertridwr)
met in a scheduled six-rounds bout which ended in the fourth round, when GRAINGER was
knocked out. Hector ALDERMAN (Pontypridd) defeated Tommy WEBBER (Argoed) on points over
ten rounds.

dinner on Tuesday, and, it is presumed, strayed on to the Great Western Railway line
nearby, where shunting operations were in progress.
She was found severley injured, and although Dr. KEMP was quickly in attendance, the child
died shortly afterwards.
Mr. J. E. EVANS, of St. Arvans, Greenfield-road, Whitchurch, states that he is in no way
connected with the Thomas John EVANS, of the same road, who was reported missing for some
days and returned home during the week-end after suffering from loss of memory.
Unfortunately the initials of the missing man were confused with those of Mr. E. J.
EVANS.
