Hi Michael,
The main cemetery in Pengam is that of St David's Church. The major
part of Pengam was in Glamorganshire. St David's was (and is) in the
Monmouthshire part of Pengam but is on the fringes of Fleur-de-Lys
(or "Flower" as it's referred to locally).
The cemetery was in the news recently because, with the growing costs
of upkeep being a problem as with so many other cemeteries, the
current vicar proposed that he should be allowed to let sheep graze in
the churchyard so as to keep the grass short without the church having
to pay for a groundsman.
Though if your ancestors were Baptists from the Bont chapel, you might
not find them buried in an Anglican churchyard.

Subject: [Mon] Cemetery in Pengam
Hello fellow listers,
I was wondering if someone could tell me about the
cemetery in the village of Pengam. I'm looking for
information on who to contact to see if some of my
ancestors are buried there. If they lived in Pengam
and are not buried there does anyone know of another
cemetery in the area? They were Baptists and
worshipped at Bont Chapel. Burials could have occurred
from the 1860's to 1930's. I found pictures of the
cemetery and Chapel in Pengam on John Ball's website

Thank you in advance for your suggestions and advice
