PASSPORT PHOTO CLUE-Troedyrhiw Husband Now In Australia.
Mrs. Charlotte DAVIES, 4, Tydfil-terrace, Troedyrhiw, petitioned for divorce on
the grounds of misconduct and desertion. She was represented by Mr. Trevor
MORGAN (instructed by Messrs. SIMONS, SMYTH, and Co.). She deposed that she and
her husband had frequent quarrels over respondent's attention to a neighbour
named Mrs. LANE.
In February, 1923, her husband left her, and she now identified a photograph
of her husband and Mrs. LANE on a passport for Australia.
Decree nisi was granted.
HOUSEKEEPER'S CHILD.
Fanny Clare TRENT, petitioning for divorce, said she married her husband on June
19, 1909, in South Africa, where they subsequently lived together in the married
quarters of the 2nd Battalion of the Welch Regiment. Later they lived together
in Bridgend-road and at other addresses in Maesteg. There were three children of
the marriage.
Mary Kathleen SCOURFIELD said she acted as housekeeper to respondent, and had
given birth to a child, of which the respondent was the father.
Mr. Morgan EVANS (instructed by Mr. David LLEWELLYN) was for petitioner, and a
decree nisi was granted with costs, and the custody of the children under
sixteen.
HUSBAND'S ALLEGED THREAT.
Beatrice Margaret BAMFORD, 65, Tudor-road, Cardiff, petitioned for divorce on
the grounds of her husband's misconduct. Mr. A. K. LITTLE (instructed by Messrs.
W. B. FRANCIS and Son) was for petitioner. Mrs. BAMFORD said she was married in
1917. Subsequently she went to live at Pembroke Barracks, where she left her
husband because he threatened to shoot her.
Evidence was given of misconduct with a woman named Kate PHILLIPS at Cardiff,
the woman cited in the case as co-respondent.
Decree nisi was granted.

Gershon LAMM, 13, Bedd-street, Cardiff, whose wife went to live with a hotel
chef in Salisbury-road, Cardiff. Mr. H. H. ROSKIN (instructed by Mr. J. C.
PROLE) was petitioner.
Maud Jessie Lilian POLLARD, whose husband obtained work in North Wales, where he
lived with another woman. Mr. J. MORGAN (instructed by Messrs. PRITCHARD,
ENGLEFIELD and Co.) was for petitioner.
Annie Elizabeth BISHOP, 13, Elizabeth-place, Merthyr, who left her husband,
William Charles BISHOP, in 1915 because of his cruelty. He was father of a child
born to a Elizabeth Annie SAMUEL, High-street, Penydarren. Mr. A. K. LITTLE
instructed by Messrs. D. W. JONES and Co.) was for petitioner.
