MR. ISAAC HIGGINS, CARDIFF.
Once one of Cardiff's best known business men, Mr. Isaac HIGGINS, of 5, Victoria
Park-road East, Canton, died early on Friday morning in his 71st year.
Mr. HIGGINS, who was a Worcestershire man, being born at Abberley, came to
Cardiff about 40 years ago, and later established the firm of COOK, HIGGINS, and
NAYLOR, wholesale grocers. He retired from business some two years ago. A
familiar figure among the Churchmen of the city, he was particularly well known
at St. Vincent's Church and at St. John's Church, Canton. He had been in failing
health for a considerable period, and he is survived by his widow, one son, and
three daughters, one of whom is the wife of Mr. H. H. MERRETT.

TREORKY TRAGEDY.-A Collier's Death From Hanging.
Richard W. MORGAN, a collier, aged 58, was found hanging in an outbuilding at
the rear of his home Tynybedw-terrace, Treorky, on Friday afternoon. He was dead
when he was cut down.
MORGAN had been under medical attention for some time.The tragic discovery
was made by his son.
NEWPORT CHILD KILLED.
Mary FELTON, aged three-and-a-half years, of 59, Christchurch-road, Newport, was
knocked down by a corporation motor-'bus in Crescent-road on Friday afternoon.
She sustained such severe head injuries that before she could be removed to
the Royal Gwent Hospital she died.
Stated to have 31 previous convictions against him, Patrick O'BRIEN, a tramp,
was sent to prison for two months at Barry on Friday for stealing a mackintosh
coat the value 10s., the property of Gladys WOOD, of 49, Palmerston-road,
Cadoxton-Barry.
