Shw mae, this is my first message for almost a year.
In that time I spent three wonderful months at home in
Wales and England catching up with my two sons,
friends and relatives, and of course family research.
To my query. In the 1891 will of my gr gr uncle
Benjamin James of Glandwr Farm, Llanover, he made a
number of bequests, including to his son Alfred James
and grandson Theophilus Embrey of Blaenavon. I have
yet to look at the 1901 census to find where these two
lived but if anyone is looking for the same family I'd
be very interested. Benjamin also left money to his
sisters Mary Ann Jenkins of Queen St Blaenavon, and
Rachel Vaughan and Gwenllian Roberts who, according to
the will, lived in 'America' with their husbands.
Unfortunately I have no further information about the
three sisters. I have joined the Welsh American
Genealogy Society and hope for some information. Again
if anyone has any information I'd be delighted to hear
from them. Diolch yn fawr, Luned James in Tasmania.
