The terms and conditions of the ONS service is that <if any of the details
are not as specified then a cert is not issued>
What would have happened had it been issued and it wasn't yours, but issue
because the occupation was right but the age wasn't.
Never specify anything that you aren't sure was correct at the time of the
event.
Churches are immaterial to Register Offices when it comes to deaths. They
are registered in Sub districts, not churches where the deceased were
buried.
It is always better in my opinion to approach the local offices for Birth &
Death certs.
Apart from holding the original entries, (those at the ONS being
transcripts, and thus liable to error) local offices don't charge for non
issues and are often far more helpful that the ONS
