It looks as if ANN EDWARDS was married at some time to the father of
Leweallyn P HUGHES - hence she was his 'stepmother' not his birth mother.
Possibly ANN EDWARDS had remarried to MR EDWARDS but was again widowed.
I agree it doesn't make much sense -maybe another lister has the answer.
