Norton Bridge, Pontypridd. However if i check this on multimap it directs me
to Maesycoed Road, Pontypridd. It this the same place, just with a name

Many thanks.

Hi,
I hope I am not breaching any list rules with this request but have always had so much help from list members!
I would be grateful for any suggestions or ideas as to where it might be possible to find wedding photos from WW2 ?
My mother, Cynthia Pitman, married Roy Widdicombe in April 1940 at Holy Trinity Church. Roy later sailed on the SS Anglo - Saxon and was subsequently lost at sea when the boat was sunk by a German Raider. Several books have been written about the incredible journey that Widdicombe and Robert Tapscott survived to the Bahamas and Roy's eventual death whilst trying to return to Newport and his wife.
I have never been able to trace any photos of Cynthia, Roy or their wedding.
If anyone has any ideas or knows of any photos please would they contact me off list.
Many thanks
Sue Irvine.

I wonder if anyone can be very kind and help, I have hit a brick wall with my Williams family history. In 1908 the family were living at 80 Jones Street, Phillips Town, New Tredegar, Monmouth Her name was Lizzie (Elizabeth} Husband was Joseph Williams and son was Albert Henry born 10 Feb 1906 (known as little Bertie, I believe he had two step brothers but not sure of their names )
Thank you very much Elizabeth

Sandra,
If you catch an Stagecoach X3 bus from Cardiff bus station to Pontypool and
get off the bus at the town hall you can then cross the road and catch a
number 30 which stops outside County hall. You can buy a dayrider which
costs
£6.20 and gives you unlimited travel for a day.
Below is a link yo the stagecoach website with timetables:

There may be a better way to get to County Hall than changing buses in
Pontypool, but I don't what that may be.
Hope this helps.

http://www.traveline-cymru.info/ is a web site enabling you to plan
journeys on public transport in Wales. Postcodes can be used to identify
locations. NP44 2XH is the postcode for Gwent Record Office.
In the present inclement weather conditions it may be worth checking whether
services are running. There is a link on the web page for snow alerts.

I couldn't find Dorothy or Terry Ellis anywhere in the NP postal district.
There's a Graham Parry in Blaenavon but his wife appears to be called Carol,
and they live next door to another Parry couple - Keith and Tegwyn.
I've sent Graham's details to Mary off-list.

My UK Info Disk lists 5 Newberys in the whole of the NP postal district, but
none in Blaenavon itself. The nearest are a couple in the Tranch area of
Pontypool, six miles down the valley.

My husband's father Emlyn Newbery was born there in 1916, the eldest
