Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
In February or March, a photo album was left in the Arnold Branch of the Jefferson County Library. Names on a print-out in the album are Mom: Marie Elizabeth Hoog; Dad: Leonard A. Schweiss; Grampa: Thomas Simon Hoog; Gramma: Maria Amelia Bauman. If you know who the owner might be, please put them in touch with us, as we would love to get this album full of pictures back into their hands!

Thank you so much, Lisa!
I know that must of been very time consuming, and it couldn't of been easy to complete. It is so kind of you to do that for everyone!
Jefferson County has about the best website with the Historical Society than most in the entire country. Everyone who has ancestors, or family from Jefferson County, Missouri, should be so very appreciative to you and all the others for their work getting so much valuable information online. I hope it never comes to a close.

I have posted the photo of an unknown young man, (Henderlite Studio in
Festus) to the Jefferson Co Genweb site. (not to be confused with the
historical society site!)
I have also posted images of the family record (Bible) of the Joel M.
Ward/Sarah Augusta Crisman family.
Find them both under the "Homeless Ancestors" section here:
