m at a loss as to pedigree and history of each of these individuals:
James Franklin HENDRICKSON is my gg grandfather
Joseph ADAMS (Nancy Joseph's mother, Augustus his - probable- brother) and
manda Ellen MOSS were my ggg grandparents (William Moss - b. 1770 was her

I may have a family that married into your Adams family-the Pate family.
otice the Anthony Pate enumerated on this census directly below the
ousehold of Augustus S. Adams? My Pate family has passed down an oral story
hat says that the mother of Jeremiah "Jerry" Pate (the 15 yr old male in
nthony Pate's household in this 1860 census) was an Adams. No first name
s given for her, though. The story also tells that she died when Jeremiah
as only a few months old, shortly after a horrific flood in that area.
eremiah was born 4 Feb 1844; I have found documentation of a large flood in
he St. Louis MO/St. Clair Co IL area in June 1844. So, that would put his
other's death sometime between June and a few months thereafter in 1844.
o any of the daughters of Amanda Ellen Moss ADAMS fit this description?
Thanks for your time,
