Those computer viruses are spoofing the sender's name and addy. Someone who
has Terri in his or her address book has the virus. When the virus sends
out messages, it arbitrarily picks someone from the address book and uses
that as the "From" address and sends the virus to everyone else in the
address book.
You need to look at the headers to see where the message came from. Check
the IP address against the headers in a message you know came from Terri.
Quoting "R. W. Fonken" <rwfonkenmn(a)worldnet.att.net>:
HI All,
Please note that as far as I know I do not have a virus but also
note
that I would not send you an attachment without adding a personal note
in
the email message letting you know what the attachment is. There are a
lot
of virus messages going around and what they do is also change to "from"
in
an email so it is difficult to know where it really came from.
Please email me privately if you have any concerns.
Thank you,
Terri--MN sc
