One of the more interesting maps is an ancestry map. Like distribution of
Norwegians across Minnesota or USA.

I also found some detailed pdf maps. Some counties will show the old
township/range system and some do not. One warning on the next link. When you click
on your county it can take several minutes for it to finish. I saved mine
onto my local machine so I can pull it up faster. And you need Adobe Reader on
your machine.

I have a feeling if we all surf this server at the same time that it may go

The place name layer may display some cemetery and church locations including
school number districts. It will first display the aerial map then it will
display the layer.
