Stuck in Minnesota and need some help? Our research note for November
outlines the new research/lookup service now being offered through the
Minnesota Historical Society (MHS). Researchers (including those in the
Twin City Metro area) can now hire professional staff members to help with
their family history research.
The MHS Library is a centralized facility in St Paul, serving as the
Minnesota State Library, State Archives and State Historical Society.
Formed under one of the first acts of the Territorial Legislature in 1849,
it has collected Minnesota memories since then. Their catalog is on-line at
http://www.pals.msus.edu/
While not as good as a trip to Minnesota to do your own checking and enjoy
the other sights while you're here, you can be sure that each request will
be thoroughly researched!
