Hi Everyone,

position
is ordinarily "One Seat for a Two Year Term" encompassing
the STATES:
Arizona, Arkansas, California, Hawaii, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri,
Nevada,
New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah
I, Jana Black, have just been elected as one of your two Representatives,
Ken Short, your other Representative resigned for personal reasons, this
seat will fill out the remaining year of Ken's term.
*** FOR SW/SC CCs ***
You have to be *registered currently* to give your opinion in this poll.
The registration is *for this poll only* and the fact that you were
registered to vote in the general election, does not allow you to "vote"
in
this poll. Please go here to register:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgwelections/register.html. Those who have
registered will receive a password and instructions on how to vote.
Please DO express your opinion so the Board can make an appointment that
reflects your voice.
The list of candidates is up
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgwelections/
Once the volunteers have offered their bios, CCs can either post their
comments on this list or send them directly to me, Jana Black, at
janab(a)websweweave.net. You may also want to forward your comments to other
Board members as we will all make this appointment together. Their email
addresses can be found here:
http://www.usgenweb.org/about/whoswho.html
*** FOR SW/SC CANDIDATES ***
Introduce us to you!!! Let us know:
1) who you are
2) what your background in the Project is
3) what your hopes, expectations and priorities are for the Project
4) why do you think you would make the best SW/SC CC Rep
I think I can safely speak for everyone on the Board in saying we are
looking forward to having the entire Board seated so that we can move
ahead
to make this Project the very best it can be!

I'm familiar with three of these four candidates (from participation on
the
USGENWEB-ALL list and, in the case of one, previous membership on
the
Advisory Board).
However, I'm not familiar with Scott Burow.
Scott, if you're subscribed to this list, could you tell us a bit about
yourself and why you would like to be appointed as SW/SC Rep?
Actually, I should broaden that invitation -- to include all four
candidates, since others on this list may not know Don, Gloria, or
Phyllis.
Thanks,
John
