21, 1919. Death came while he was being transferred from Vancouver Barracks
to another hospital at San Francisco.

Michael Hoban - page 11 - photo included
Michael Hoban was born in September 1881 near Graceville, Minn.; at an early
age he was orphaned and came to live in Jackson County, where he enlisted
for service with the colors at the beginning of the World War. He was a
veteran of the Spanish American War, having served in the American Army in
the Philippines, 1899 to 1900. He was honorably discharged in February,
1901. He attempted to enlist in the Marine Corps in 1908, but was not
accepted because of physical disability. His last enlistment was in 1915
when he joined the American army for service in France. Few details are
available regarding this service, but he was wounded October 9, 1918, and
died in a French hospital from wounds a few days later. He is buried at
Fleury Sur Aires, France.

10, 1919 of pneumonia. Corporal Lundahl died on German soil and was buried
at Benkastel on the Mosel River banks.
