As current president of the Ford Genealogy Club I can tell you that unless
your grandfather/ancestor is living you probably can forget getting those
employment records. The current rule from FORD is that if the person is NOT
alive to give you that permission you will have to obtain a COURT ORDER to
have the records.
If you wish to argue with them I suggest that you contact Ford Motor
World Headquarters, Dearborn, Michigan.
If anyone lives in the Southeast Michigan area and is interested in
receiving our newsletter or would like more info on the Club please drop me
a line. We are made up of primarily Ford Motor employees and spouses but
are open to anyone with an interest in Genealogy. We meet once a month in
Dearborn and we do offer a beginner session before every meeting.
If you have any questions please feel free to email me.
Regards,
Karen Krugman

Dear Liz,
I don't know how helpful this group is, but there is a website for Ford
employees/retirees called the Ford Genealogy Club. You can check them out
for leads on tracking down your person.
