For those of you who have an interest in Eloise (I've seen quite a few
postings on this subject) you might want to check out a new book that is
available May 1. It is a collection of photographs of Eloise. It was done
by the DSGR's magazine editor, Pat Ibbotson. It is called: "Eloise:
Poorhouse, Farm, Asylum and Hospital". You can get information at:

I understand that alot of the photo's in the book have never been
released before. I have not seen the book nor have I any idea on the content
other than its full of photo's.

Subject: Re: [MIGEN] 1892 birth record, wayne county, MI
Hello List Members,
----- Original Message -----
Can anyone out there tell me where to write for a birth record for
1892,
Wayne county, Michigan?
The Wayne County birth records 1867-1917 have been microfilmed by LDS and
available via Family History Centers. They are not indexed and there are
over 500 pages of records for each year.
Detroit births are included 1867 to the end of 1905.
If the family lived in Detroit, try to determine the ward that they lived
in - using the 1880 census or city directories. The birth records are
listed by wards. If they lived elsewhere in Wayne County, almost all the
records from each town or township are listed together on 1 or 2 pages.
Happy searching!
