Subject: [MIGEN] Auberger
I know that this is a shot in the dark...
I am researching a Frederick Auberger, born in Bavaria Mar 17 1859 He
emigrated to Michigan around 1880-2.
Frederick worked as a shoemaker
He married Katherine Koenig in Michigan around 1885 Katherine was born in
Hessen, Germany they moved to Rochester , NY around 1885-86 (first shows up
in Rochester directories in 1886 His immigration file is not in Rochester,
(Monroe County) NY
Without a town or county, is it possible to locate immigration files in
Michigan?
Were there towns or cities that were more likely to have had german
immigrant shoemakers in the 1880's?
