Hi Tom,
I have spent weeks reviewing this publication.
Records of the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany,
New York, 1683–1809
Excerpted from Year Books of the Holland Society of New York
As far as I can tell the online version of the publication at
http://aleph0.clarku.edu/~djoyce/gen/albany/refchurch.html<http://alep...
contains exactly the same information as the published work.
There are 13,195 baptisms and 2,842 marriages in the book.
Many online sources are copies of the published pages. Google books has
copies of many books online. If you can not view all of the material in a
book,
there is usually a location where you could purchase a copy of the book.
I would add
Rootsweb.ancestry.com to your list of free websites. There are
2 major sources of genealogical information available from the home page.
The Social Security Death Index has millions of names and WorldConnect has
the names of over 500 million persons.
I do not see any references to use of libraries for genealogical research.
There is much more published information in books than there is information
posted on the Internet. Try contacting someone at the Library of Michigan
in
Lansing.
Contact the members of one of the Genealogy Societies in Michigan before
you
distribute your questionnaire. You need input from persons who have done
both
online and library research.
