Kevin Frye,
Mind? Not at all, but grateful for the reminder.
Baxter's, "History of Grand Rapids", and family stories say that my great,
grand uncle, Dr. John Brady, 1837-1914, was in the Union Army as a surgeon;
was at the Battle of Vicksburg when a messenger came running in with a
message of surrender; had charge of the Union Soldiers liberated from The
Andersonville Prison; and was a personal friend of General Grant.
Can you substantiate any of this? Thanks for your generous interest in the
Andersonville Records.
