I just recently found out that one of my ancestors was in a car crash on
a
public highway in Berrien Springs, MI on 5 Oct 1946. She must have been
transported back to Chicago, because her death certificate says she died
here 16 Oct 1946 and was in the hospital here for 2 days.
The person's name is Julia Janiszewski. She was 58 yrs old.
I would like to know if there was an article in the newspaper about this
crash. I would like to obtain a copy of any article about this crash.
How can I obtain this information or article?
Thank you

Bobbi, I have had good luck getting newspaper articles by
writing/phoning/emailing the main library in the city or county where I am
looking for information. Simply 'GOOGLE' something such as 'library
Berrien Springs Michigan' and you will usually find the name of one or
more libraries. Their web site will have a location/phone number/ or an
'Ask Us' link to a librarian. Inquire about your request. Since you know
the exact date and the name of the person, it should not be too hard to
find the artice. Always ask for a price up front. Good luck.
Carolyn
