Two brothers with their wives , William & Lucy LARDER and Thomas and
Elizabeth LARDER who were brothers of my great grandmother, are believed to
have settled in the Jackson area between 1860 and 1882. According to a
letter I have dated 1882 they were farming near Spring Arbour (sic).
Thomas's wife was living in Tekonsha in 1920.My gr
grandmother stayed in Lincolnshire and two of her children came to Australia
one of whom is my grandmother.
I would like to try and trace living descendants if any exist of the LARDER
family but can't list names of living family on Rootsweb lists or ask for
help so I decided to write to the editors of various newspapers I found via
Google and request help via a letter to the paper. This is a way I have used
often in Australia to trace elusive relatives. I can't access the US papers
via email as I need a valid US address and zip code. They don't accept
letters from outside the US. One editor who I was able to contact replied to
say they don't accept letters from non locals.
Is anyone able to suggest some way for me , living in Australia, to seek
descendants of Thomas and William. I have just about exhausted all possible
Google entries that I can think of.
