Joan,
My thought would be, it means Morehead, KY.
They used to write the state initials differently than they do now.
Is this person someone you could find in a census when he was young, in
Kentucky maybe ?
The 1930 census is the last one available to view. And before that, all are
available except the 1890.

Hi Archie,
Thanks for responding to my query. This ?town? Morehead Kenn was, as
printed, in an obituary from Grand Rapids Press. Rechecking the typing it
could be Monehead Kenn, but that's all I can get from it. Thanks for your
time. Joan

I checked
michigantownships.org and there is no morehead or morehead
kenn twp. While this an assn for township government, there is a lot of
helpful info available. I have found a decendent of one of my
ggrandfathers brothers, while trying to find an old cemetary. She is a
clerk in a Northern Michigan township.
Good Luck with your search. Archie
