There was a state censuses taken in MI in 1845, 1854, 1864, 1874, 1884
and 1894 and these are held at the MI State Archives. Some of these are
filmed by the LDS so check their on-line card catalog at
www.familysearch.org There were some earlier censuses taken such as the
1834 census for MI Territory and some other earlier ones for some areas.
Check the Redbook for Michigan.
Prior to 1884 these censuses only named heads of household as did the
federal censuses prior to 1850.
I hope this helps.

Subject: [MIGEN] Off-year censuses
Hello all!! Was wondering if there are any off-year censuses in
Michigan? For example, are there any censuses for 1942 or any other
years other than the every 10 year Federal Censuses?
Thanks,
Debbie
