I have a book of index for BRANCH CO., Michigan's 1874 STATE Census.
I also have the 1854 STATE Census for Coldwater Township, Branch Co., MI.
You can access the 1845 STATE Census on the (pay to view)
Ancestry.com
census records.

Subject: Re: [MIGEN] 1845 MI state census and official date
If I'm not mistaken, I believe some states (Michigan, Florida,
etc.) did
state
censuses on the "odd years."
See:
http://www.hvcn.org/info/gswc/censusfactmi.htm
Not that it helps you a lot, but I did see that:
"Microfilm copies of the state census schedules for 1845, 1854, 1864,
1874,
1884, and 1894 are held by the State Archives of Michigan."
http://censusrecords-search.com/state23.htm
Perhaps the State Archives could tell you the date you're looking for of
the
1845 census.
Not sure which county you need, but I did find a link for someone with
access
to the 1845 Michigan census for certain counties who will do lookups
and
might
be able to find the date for you.
See:

Good luck,
