Ah! another Smith/Jones/Brown researcher. I thought I was the only one so
cursed! ;-)
My mothers' side have the JONES / BROWN surname, which immigrated from
Canada to Huron County.
My father's side has his mother's MINARD surname marrying into the SMITH's
and have I got a household to unscramble there.
Wish I could help here, but my surnames are pretty much all in Huron County,
and my timeframe is in late 1800's to early 1900's. The SMITH's do move (by
1910) to Elyria, Loraine, Ohio, but other than that move everything stays in
Huron, with ancestral roots in Ontario.
Regards,
William

Daisy is the mother of my grandmother Frances Louise MCCALLUM/SMITH
born
25
April 1916 in East Tawas Michigan. She was later adopted by Nathan
Oliver
SMITH. He had a son Ewing SMITH.
Daisy maiden name was BROWN. Her mother's name is Hattie, her maiden name
was
JONES. Her father's name is William Murry BROWN, Hattie's 2nd
marriage.
I gave you a little more info. than you requested to give you an idea of a
time frame.
All I know is the Counties below that the JONES, BROWN, SMITH, MCCALLUM &
HARTLERODE lived in or were born in.
Prescott is in Ogemaw County Michigan.
East Tawas is in Iosco County Michigan
Flint is in Genesee County Michigan
Of course I am sure there are more counties but this is what I have on a
family bible.
God Bless
Pam
