He's probably too young to the be the one you're looking for, but my son had
a teacher in Detroit about 15 yrs ago named Jay Harris. He's probably in
his late 40's or early 50s by now. It was Yost Elementary School, a
Detroit Public School. I suppose the Detroit Board of Education might be
able to put you in touch with him......maybe contact them and give them your
contact infor and they could pass it along to him, that way it maintains his
privacy.
Hope this helps a little.

I am at a brickwall on locating parents , grandparents, etc.. of my
grandfather.
BENJAMIN FRANK(lin) HARRIS was a resident of Farmington Hills in a
timeframe of 1909-1917.
He later lived at 45000 Southfield Blvd. in 1940.
He died Nov. 1, 1940 in Oakland County & is buried at
Holy Septuchure Cemetery
He had several sons, among them RUSSELL LOWELL HARRIS a resident of
Pontiac, MI. & HARRY JAY HARRIS of Detroit.
Anyone aware of descendants of the aforementioned please notify me.
They very possibly hold the key to answers to many questions about our
ancestry.
Thank You, Richard Harris
