Pam -
I am going to the Burton 10/4 as of now so if you want me to do a look-up
for you I'd be glad to. You certainly have your hands full and obviously
your "tricky" husband trying to relieve you of your old books may not break
down in the near future to take you.

Hi All,
Since I started this discussion on Burton here are more facts about my
inability to get there.
I am glad there are those that can make the trip to the Burton Collection
etc. I have not been there in a number of years due to the fact that God
gave me 3 seniors with Alzheimers to take care of for a good long time. I
was also hit by an idiot that ran a red light.
As a result I am both visually and bodily handicapped and I just would not
be able to take care of myself in case there was someone that wanted to
cause me grief. One day I may get my hubby to like history <g> and he
would
go with me, but the closest thing he will get to old things is trying to
get
me to sell lots of my old books. <g> Not a chance....
Again, thanks for all of those willing to help others at those libraries.

Hi Joan -
Some of us are braver than others, I guess I'm one of those. I am going
to
the library in the next two weeks and will print of your email so I can
have
the info at hand. You're right, during the WWII years, there were no
publications unfortunately. However, they did resume in the 50's, maybe
even later 40s.
Interestingly my half-sister and her husband lived at 2961 Third Ave. #8
in
1934. My dad had 5 children in his first marriage, the youngest of which
is
17 years older than me. I'll keep you posted.
Grace
