Have you searched for the name under possible alternate spellings, searched by first name,
year of birth, and/or place? There are lots of ways to misspell names.

Subject: [MIGEN] THANKS!! REYNOLDS Michigan 1854-1859
Thanks to all who responded to my query. Someone sent me a copy of their
marriage record from St. Clair Co. MI. I was hoping that it would state
the city where they lived but it didn't. I checked the 1850 Michigan
census hoping to find them since they married 1849 in Michigan but I didn't
find them on it. They could have gone back to Canada after their marriage
in Michigan as their first daughter was born Canada 1854. I don't have a
subscription to a Canadian census. Where do I go from here to find out
where in Canada they lived?? ...Gerry

I haven’t the time right now, but later today I will do some searching
for
you. I wonder if Edward passed away and Lydia remarried and on the next
census, the household is listed under a second husband surname, this is
just a possibility. I will get back with you later.

Thanks for answering my query. I don't know where in MI they were
living.
All I have is the 1870 Chariton Co. MO census that they are all on that
shows where they were born. They are not on the 1880 census. My
direct
ancestor married 1872 & moved to Dent Co. MO but her parents & siblings
are
not there. I did just find a marriage on Ancestry that might be them.
I don't know if it would be likely two people from Canada would marry 1849
in St. Clair Co. MI & have a daughter born in Canada 1854. But there is
a
marriage of Edward REYNOLDS 24 Dec. 1849 in St. Clair Co. MI to a Lydia
COLE. I haven't checked this out with St. Clair Co. yet. What are
your
thoughts?? Thanks. Gerry in MO
